reply.school was born from 20+ years of experience in K-12 education technology—understanding the real challenges districts face every day.
Kaelon Egan
Founder & CEO
I've always been an engineer at heart—a first principles thinker and builder. My journey in education technology began at Mt. Lebanon High School in Pittsburgh, where I started my first business, IT Diagnostics, helping local teachers with computer repair.
That passion led to a decade working in the Mt. Lebanon School District's IT department, where I saw firsthand the administrative burden that pulls educators away from their core mission. My goal was always to automate as much as possible, which led me to create Ecollect—a platform that digitized paper-based data collection for enrollment, athletics, and more.
After building AccelaSchool to serve districts in 40+ states and spending six years at PowerSchool leading teams of 60+ people, I started Solo and reply.school to bring AI-powered automation to education in a way that actually works.
The mission is simple: not to replace staff, but to give them their time back.
